Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Behavioral Health Unit. This opportunity is ideal for those with experience in behavioral health settings, including working with agitated patients. Training will be provided to ensure the appropriate handling and restraining techniques are adopted effectively.

Job Details

• Shift: Evenings, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, including every other weekend
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to patients in a Behavioral Health environment.
• Monitor patient behavior and report any changes to the nursing team.
• Assist in de-escalating situations involving agitated patients using trained techniques.
• Participate in the implementation of patient care plans.
• Foster a supportive and safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a behavioral health or related setting.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques for patient care.
• Experience in a lockdown unit is advantageous, but not mandatory.

Additional Information

This position is a 6-month opportunity with the potential for permanent placement. Training will be provided for effective integration into the team and understanding specific unit protocols.
