Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our team. This role involves performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrubbing and monitoring cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Assist in various cardiac procedures, including adult diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and cardiac stent placements.
• Implement and assist with percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA).
• Manage the placement and removal of intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
• Perform pacemaker and defibrillator insertions/removals and AICD insertions/programming.
• Conduct peripheral angiographies, including lower-extremity angiograms and carotid stent procedures.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening dysrhythmias.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper room circulation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Tech, with strong cardiac catheterization and vascular procedure experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• RCIS or ARRT certification is mandatory.
• Active Maryland license is required.
• Basic EKG assessment skills are required.
• Experience with TAVR, AAA repair, and STEMI cases is expected.
• Proficiency in using McKesson monitoring systems, Philips X-ray, and Volcano/Boston Scientific IVUS and FFR is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Shifts: 4x10 hours (06:00 - 18:30).
• Weekend call: One weekend of call per month is required.
• Approximately 5 to 6 nights of call per month, with weeknight call beginning at 5 PM and ending at 6:30 AM the following morning.

Additional Information

• One pre-approved time-off request is permitted per contract; auto-approval for 14 days or less of request time off (RTO).
• Mandatory RTO during winter and summer holidays, with no RTO on critical days like Easter, Mother's Day, or Father's Day.
• Applicants must be comfortable floating within scope if necessary.
