Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team. This position supports the Radiologist by assisting in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring the efficient processing and transmission of images to PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Assist Radiologists with imaging and other related tasks.
- Process and transmit medical images to PACS.
- Utilize mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH.
- ARRT or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Minimum of one year of acute clinical radiology experience.
- At least one year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Graduate of a program accredited by JRCNMT or CAMRT.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Proficient computer skills.
- CT/Fusion Certification preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Expertise in operating both mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
