Known as “Rocket City” for its critical role in putting Americans into space, Huntsville, Alabama, is a center of science, research and the U.S. space flight program. The Marshall Space Flight Center is the government’s spacecraft propulsion research center and brings major aerospace giants like Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon to town. These and other companies fill Cummings Research Park, the second-largest research park in the nation.
