School Psychologist – School-Based Responsibilities

Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for special education eligibility.
Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, adaptive, and social-emotional assessments.
Prepare comprehensive psychological evaluation reports.
Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Consult with teachers regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
Provide crisis response and threat assessment support as needed.
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and assist with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Support MTSS/RTI initiatives.
Provide counseling or behavioral consultation when appropriate.

Qualifications:

Master's, specialist (Ed.S.), or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Valid TX TEA Internally Certified School Psychologist or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) credential required; TExES exam required
Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is preferred
Minimum one year of paid school-based experience as a School Psychologist
