School Psychologist – School-Based Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for special education eligibility.
- Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, adaptive, and social-emotional assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive psychological evaluation reports.
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Consult with teachers regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
- Provide crisis response and threat assessment support as needed.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and assist with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Support MTSS/RTI initiatives.
- Provide counseling or behavioral consultation when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Master's, specialist (Ed.S.), or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid TX TEA Internally Certified School Psychologist or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) credential required; TExES exam required
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is preferred
- Minimum one year of paid school-based experience as a School Psychologist
