Princeton Staffing Solutions is hiring an onsite, licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time, 32.5-35-hour-per-week school-based W2 contract serving students in Elementary.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – School-Based Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement established treatment plans designed to support students’ IEP goals and educational participation.
- Assist students with gross motor skills, mobility, balance, strength, coordination, posture, positioning, and functional movement.
- Deliver physical therapy services in individual, group, classroom, and other school-based settings.
- Support students’ safe participation in classroom activities, physical education, transitions, transportation, and other school routines.
- Assist students with the safe and appropriate use of adaptive equipment, mobility devices, and positioning supports.
- Observe and document student performance, progress, participation, and response to interventions.
- Communicate student progress, concerns, and changes in functional performance to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers as directed.
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings when requested and permitted by district policy and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate service logs, treatment notes, and other required documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
- Follow the supervising Physical Therapist’s plan of care and promptly report any need for reassessment or treatment-plan modification.
- Promote student independence, safety, and access to the educational environment and curriculum.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to obtain licensure before the assignment begins.
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination for Physical Therapist Assistants and any other applicable state requirements.
- Previous pediatric or school-based physical therapy experience is preferred.
- Experience implementing treatment plans and maintaining accurate service documentation is preferred.
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment, mobility supports, and educationally relevant physical therapy services is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Ability to meet all district onboarding, background screening, and health requirements.
