Med Surg RN

Shift: 3x12s
Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Unit: 20-bed Med Surg unit
EHR: Meditech
Requirements: Active RN license, BLS, Med Surg experience
Ratios: 1:6
Skills: Prioritization, multitasking, IV starts, basic wound care, surgical drains, NG tubes, chest tubes
Equipment: IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile
Float: Contract labor floats first by rotation
Support: Tech support on days/nights; unit secretary 7a–7p
