Description

Unit/Role: RN – Surgical Acute Med-Surg (63 beds), Epic

Schedule: 3x12s nights (7p–7a), 36 hrs/week; rotating weekends/holidays (typically every other)

Ratios: Days 4–5:1, nights 5–6:1; PCT support (approx 7–10 pts/PCT days, 10–15 nights)

Patient mix/skills: Post-op surgical/trauma/overflow medical; wound care, drains/NG, central lines, TPN, pain mgmt. No drip titration (heparin only)

Floating: Travelers are first to float to similar-acuity units

Cert: AHA BLS required
