Unit: CVICU RN (Cardiovascular ICU)

Provide high-acuity care for post-cardiac surgery patients in the acute recovery phase, transitioning to ICU/stepdown as appropriate.
Ratios: 1:1 (POD#0), progressing to 1:2 (POD#1).
Requirements: BLS, ACLS; 1–2+ years CVICU/critical care experience; prior travel required.
Must have experience with CRRT, Impella, and IABP.
Preferred: TNCC.
Skills: Titration of vasoactive drips (Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Amiodarone, etc.), ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac care.
RNs responsible for telemetry interpretation.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6:45–7:15); every other weekend; rotating holidays; no call.
Details: EPIC charting; float to MICU as needed; structured orientation with preceptor; navy scrubs required.
