Description

CVICU RN

Unit: 20-bed private-room CVICU, Level I trauma
EHR: Epic
Shift: 12-hour days or nights; no block scheduling
Requirements: 2+ recent years of strong CVICU experience, BLS, telemetry interpretation, advanced critical care skills
Preferred: ACLS, CCRN, immediate post-op open-heart experience
Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, or 2:1 based on acuity
Skills: Vents, Swan-Ganz, arterial/CVC lines, temporary pacing, IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT, nitric oxide, and multiple titratable drips
Patient Population: CABG/valves, dissections, AAA, TAVR, STEMI/NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, severe heart failure, vascular procedures, and ventilated ICU patients
