Shift: 12-hour days or nights, 6:45–7:15
Unit: 18-bed ICU
EHR: Epic
Requirements: 2 years critical care experience, prior travel experience, BLS, ACLS
Preferred: CRRT, IABP, Impella, PALS, NIHSS
Ratios: 1:2, occasionally 1:3 with lower-acuity overflow
Skills: Ventilator care, hemodynamic monitoring, lumbar drains, critical drip titration, telemetry interpretation
Patient Population: Sepsis, MI, renal conditions, strokes, seizures, ARDS, vascular and cardiovascular procedures
Drips: Levophed, Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, insulin
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and rotating holidays
Float: Stepdown, ED holds, or occasionally Med Surg/Tele with full assignment
