Unit: 6-bed private-room Med Surg ICU
Trauma Level: Level II
EHR: Epic
Requirements: 2+ years experience, active IL RN license or application started, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS
Experience: General ICU background, EKG interpretation, vasopressor titration, vent care, and insulin drips
Patient Population: CAP, sepsis, post-op bowel resection, CEA, hernia, COPD, and DKA
Ratios: ICU 1:2; may float to intermediate care at 1:4–1:5
Support: 24/7 RT, telemetry tech, hospitalist/eICU coverage, and pharmacy coverage
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend, moving to every 3rd weekend; holidays if on scheduled weekend
Call: None
Submission: SSN last four, middle initial, RTO, IL license status, and negative drug screen acknowledgment required
