Description

Unit: PCU RN (Cardiac Stepdown – Miller 3)

Provide care in a cardiac progressive care/stepdown unit with a focus on post-op cardiothoracic and vascular patients.
Must be experienced with post-op day 1 open/closed heart (CABG) patients.
Requirements: NY RN License (in hand); BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (PCCN preferred); 2+ years experience with 1+ year in PCU; recent Level I trauma experience required.
Must have: Cardiothoracic/vascular experience; recent EPIC experience.
Skills: Cardiac monitoring, post-op cardiac care, telemetry, and stepdown-level interventions (A-line experience preferred but not required if strong CT surgery background).
Schedule: Every weekend schedule; floating to like units required; no block scheduling.
Details: ASAP start; IVS to offer; high-acuity environment; full work history and gap explanations required; reliable transportation necessary.
