Description

Facility: NYU Orthopedic Hospital (Manhattan) – 301 E 17th St

Role: MRI Technologist (Travel)

Duration/Start: 8 weeks | Start 2/23/2026

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00a–4:00p (5x8s) | No weekends (may stay late for inpatient scans)

Volume/Unit

MRI rooms: 1

Avg daily census/visits: ~7/day

Population: Neonate → Geriatric (inpatient & outpatient)

Systems/Support

EMR: Epic | Omnicell

Strong ancillary support (radiology, pharmacy, transport, RRT, etc.)

Required (must be in hand)

NYS Radiologic Technologist License

ARRT (MR)

BLS

IV Certification (not venipuncture)

Must-have skills

Cardiac MRI w/ & w/o contrast (NYU preference; many scans are cardiac)

MSK MRI (major joints/extremities; TMJ, pelvis, etc.)

Contrast admin + peripheral IV starts

Preferred

Siemens + PACS

Broader MRI breadth (abd/pelvis, head/neck, spine, advanced cardiac/stress, MRA/MRV, post-processing)
