Description

Unit: Step-Down / PCU RN

Care for cardiac and high-acuity step-down patients including CHF, post-cath, vascular procedures, respiratory failure, and dysrhythmias.
Ratios: 1:4–5; fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; 2+ years recent Step-Down experience.
Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, cardiac drips, IV/PICC care, stroke management, and BiPAP/CPAP.
Schedule: 36 hrs/week; every other weekend & holiday; no block scheduling.
Details: Pyxis medication system; strong focus on post-procedure monitoring and critical thinking; local candidates accepted at reduced rate.
