Stepdown RN

Hours: 36/week or 48/week
Schedule: No block scheduling
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and every other holiday
Ratios: 1:4–1:5
Requirements: 2+ years recent Stepdown experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Medication System: Pyxis
Patient Population: CHF, post-heart cath, post-vascular procedures, respiratory failure, BiPAP/CPAP/Vapotherm, and cardiac dysrhythmias
Skills: Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, 12-lead EKG, IV starts, PICC lines, blood products, cardiac drip titration, emergency medications, sedation monitoring, stroke care, chest tube assistance, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions
Procedures: TR bands, post-cath care, post-vascular monitoring, frequent vitals, and neurovascular checks
Local Candidates: Accepted
