Description

This 24-bed PCU/cardiac unit is staffed with a charge RN and a strong RN team (8 RNs per shift, plus additional day support) caring for a high-acuity population at an estimated 1:3 ratio. The team uses Meditech and equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Hillrom beds, iMobile/Apple devices, and telemetry, supporting complex cardiac and vascular patients (post-CABG/valve repairs, LVAD, post-VATS with chest tubes, pre/post cath lab and EP procedures such as pacemakers/AICDs, PCIs, and TAVR). Nurses must be accountable and comfortable with cardiac drips (amiodarone, nitroglycerin, cardene, cardizem); BLS and ACLS are required, with PCU experience and strong interdisciplinary communication preferred. Floating may include Med-Surg/tele and Ortho.
