Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Miami, FL, requiring scrubbing skills and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab (CVL Invasive) setting within an acute care hospital in Miami, FL
- 4-room cath lab with a 1:1 patient-to-staff ratio
- Unit team of 22 staff consisting of RNs and Techs, with a minimum of 3 staff members per room on day shift
- Procedures include cardiac catheterizations, cerebral angiograms, stents, balloon procedures, and ENT lab cases
- All GE procedure rooms
- EMR/documentation system: Meditech and MacLab
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call requirements with a maximum of 15 days of call during critical periods; night shift on-call team includes 4 staff members for STEMI call
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required; allied candidates must have 6 months of active experience within the last 6 months
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
- Scrubbing skills required
- RCIS or ARRT preferred
- License required if applicable
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no exceptions; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Scrubs are provided by the unit (surgical scrubs)
- Daily huddle calls are conducted; building relationships with the Director, staff, and patients is emphasized
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but candidates must meet all experience requirements

I worked in the Respiratory department. The Respiratory manager Alex was a fantastic woman. She does all the on boarding education and she’s your number one person to call for any clinical information scheduling information. She was fantastic.
