Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room/Open Heart position requiring IL RN licensure and a minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Open Heart/Cardiovascular OR unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 6:30AM-5PM, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week over a 20-week assignment
- Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Epic EMR charting required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- BSN required
- Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Deliver individualized nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation across the patient care continuum
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care from admission through discharge
- Provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, and developmental factors
- Demonstrate technical proficiency with OR equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Perform bedside lab testing and specimen collection per hospital protocols
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- RTO may not exceed 7 total days within a 13-week contract period
- Workers may not remain continuously on assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service or conversion to permanent staff
