Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Burn ICU RN for a night shift position requiring prior travel nursing experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Burn ICU unit setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Unit responsibilities include wound care, pain management, line placement, and assisting with intubation
• Night shift schedule with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (State or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to burn ICU patients, including wound care and pain management support
• Perform line placement and assist with intubation procedures as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from employment for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
• First-time travelers are not typically considered for this position
