Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1 year of PT experience and LTC/Rehab experience.

Details

• Long Term Care (LTC) unit within a Physical Therapy department
• 13-week assignment on day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New graduates considered if Level II clinical experience was completed (Level I observation alone not accepted)
• MO state PT license required, if applicable
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
• Develop and adjust plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care as needed
• Assess patient progress, document outcomes, and modify treatment plans accordingly
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
• Communicate with supervisors and healthcare team members on patient progress and treatment plans
• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate treatment documentation
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required trainings
• Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• Up to 5 days of requested time off may be accommodated
