Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment requiring 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Med/Surg-Oncology unit with 30 beds and 53 staff
- RN to patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 3:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
- Unit staffed with 4-6 RNs per shift depending on census
- Uses remote telemetry equipment
- EMR system is Meditech
- 13-week assignment on night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Typical procedures include cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and medical management cases
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg experience required
- Med/Surg and surgical/medical experience preferred
- Mom/Baby experience with NRP preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg-Oncology unit, often working independently or with one other RN
- Best suited for outgoing, confident RNs with strong customer service skills and sound independent judgment
- Unit resources are available on the floor but not always directly on the unit
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
