Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring 2+ years of recent PICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a children's hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Scheduled to work every other weekend, subject to change based on RTO and unit needs
• Float requirement to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience required (CVPICU-only experience does not qualify)
• First-time travelers considered with closer to 3 years of PICU experience and recent Level 1 trauma experience
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, arterial line management, central line care, and ICP monitoring
• Experience with HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and chest tube management preferred
• Experience with blood product administration, PICC line management, and TPN/lipids preferred
• 2 supervisory references required, with at least one manager or supervisor titled reference

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Floating to other units is a standard expectation for this assignment
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Cannot have worked in a permanent position at this facility within the last 2 years
• Makeup shifts within the same pay period required for any call-out or absence
