Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and prior travel contract experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department/Trauma unit
• Care for critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patient populations
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required, or based on department needs
• Rotating holidays with regular staff
• Uses Epic EMR
• May float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• At least 2 prior travel contracts required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Experience safely maintaining clinical judgment and documentation for critical care patients
• Strong team collaboration and clear, timely communication skills
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Full SS# and DOB required for consideration

• Provide emergency nursing care across a range of critical, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
• Escalate concerns appropriately and seek support to ensure patient safety
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required
