Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring at least one year of recent PICU experience and current BLS/PALS certification.

Details

• Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU with 15 beds and 38 staff members
• 2:1 patient ratio in the PICU
• Day shift staffed with Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT, Dietary, and Case Management; night shift staffed with Intensivist, RN, and RT
• Uses general cardiac/respiratory (CR) monitoring equipment
• Charts in Meditech / CPN EMR
• Performs IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A night shift schedule

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PICU RN experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• CRRT experience preferred
• APHON certification preferred
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Located within Wesley Children's Hospital, a pediatric teaching hospital environment
• Candidates should work well under pressure in a fast-paced teaching hospital setting
• Strong patient care experience is a priority for this role
• No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
