Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a day shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of cath lab experience and BLS with ARRT or CCI certification.

Details

• Community hospital cath lab setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Travelers may float to like units within their scope based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
• Procedures may include cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, EP studies, cardiac ablation, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, LAA closure, TAVR, and Watchman procedures
• Additional procedural exposure may include vascular studies, angioplasty, carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, TIPS, and upper/lower extremity angiography

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT or CCI (RCIS) certification required
• Kansas license required if certified through ARRT (license required if applicable)
• Valid state RN license required at time of submission
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills in venous access, central venous access, and sterile field maintenance preferred
• Experience with EKG lead placement preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role

Additional Information

• Perform cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology procedures as part of daily responsibilities
• Assist with procedural monitoring, scrubbing, and maintaining sterile fields during cases
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Former perm staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Locals within a 50-mile radius are not accepted for this position
