Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer requiring 2+ years of experience, RVT certification, and ARDMS credentialing in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, or MSK

Details

• Floats between an acute care hospital and an outpatient clinic to meet facility needs
• 4x8 hour day shifts, approximately 32 hours per week with varied start times between 7:00 and 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required approximately once every 4 to 6 weeks
• No on-call requirement
• Average daily caseload of 45 visits per technologist
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Performs maternal fetal medicine, high-risk OB, obstetrics, pediatric, and vascular ultrasound studies including arterial mapping, carotid, and duplex studies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer required
• Current BLS certification required
• RVT certification required
• ARDMS credential in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, or MSK required (multiple ARDMS specialties preferred)
• Vascular ultrasound experience required, including arterial studies with bypass grafts and stents
• Completion of a two-year Allied Health education program or Associate of Applied Science degree from an accredited ultrasound program, or a bachelor's degree required
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of either facility location
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
• Finalized RTO requests must be submitted for consideration with the candidate profile
• Holiday coverage is required as needed by the facility
• Scrub color requirements vary by role and facility, with Navy Blue designated for Ultrasound Techs at the outpatient clinic location
• Candidates requesting a medical or religious vaccine exemption must provide appropriate documentation for consideration
