Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring critical care background, Impella/IABP experience, and independent drip titration skills.

Details

• Work in a busy Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 labs, an in-patient holding area, and a radial lounge for out-patients
• Adult patient population
• Cath Lab hours are 7:30 AM–5:00 PM Monday-Friday with 24-hour on-call coverage
• Uses specialized equipment including OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, pacers, Rota, CSI, Opsens, Cath Works, and Penumbra
• EMR systems used include Sunrise/Allscripts and Mac Lab
• Performs procedures such as left and right heart caths, TAVR, TMVR, ASD/PFO closures, stents/angioplasty, atherectomy, mechanical thrombectomy, IABP, Impella, Mitral Clip, temp wires, pressure wires, VSD, and CardioMEMS
• No floating required
• Self-scheduled call approximately one weekday and one weekend per month, with call hours from 4:30 PM–7:30 AM and weekend call from Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 7:30 AM

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Impella and IABP experience required
• Experience independently titrating drips required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab setting supporting complex cardiac procedures
• Ceil blue scrubs provided by the hospital
• Team includes 7 Cath Lab techs and 13 RNs, plus 5 RNs and 1 LNA in the Radial Lounge
• Ideal candidates are efficient, easygoing, and have a good sense of humor
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
