Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and 2+ years of critical care experience.

Details

• Work in a 5-bed ICU (expanding to 10 beds) within a Level 3 trauma acute care hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population with no pediatric cases
• Patient ratios of 2-3:1
• Common diagnoses include DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric/suicidal ideation cases
• Uses ventilators, BiPAPs, IV drips, and glucometers
• Charts in Medhost EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to adult and geriatric ICU patients
• Work alongside a close-knit, supportive team
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual attire is not permitted
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
