Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 28-bed Emergency Department staffed with charge RN, 10 RNs, 2-3 techs, and a unit secretary per shift
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute ER experience required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Proficiency with procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide emergency care to a high-acuity patient population requiring strong clinical and interpersonal skills
• Personable and active personality fit preferred for fast-paced ER environment
• Royal blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
