Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit with a Med/Surg/Telemetry patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Manages cardiac drips without titration

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and medication administration
• Non-invasive airway management skills required
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, medication management, and IV/peripheral line care
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted as locals
• Travelers residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not contracted
• Previous staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days automatically approved and none during the first week of orientation
• Onboarding requires completion of core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing
