Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring Level I trauma center experience and the flexibility to float across multiple ICU units.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a hospital setting
• Floats across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 48-hour work weeks available for interested candidates
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience floating across a variety of ICU settings highly desired
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must pass a competency test within 24 hours of consideration
• At least one professional reference from a supervisor or manager (not a charge nurse) dated within the past year

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients across multiple specialty units as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Medical exemptions only accepted for flu vaccine declinations; personal or religious exemptions not accepted
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
