Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring a TX or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Details
- Hospital-based General Surgery unit
- 13-week assignment
- Full time schedule with multiple shift options available
- Shift hours from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned surgical patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate, unless approved for a local position
- Previous CHRISTUS employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment at any CHRISTUS facility
