Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position on nights, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and willingness to float across units and hospitals.

Details

• Acute care float pool assignment covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week
• Uses Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or Compact license required (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Associate degree in nursing required
• AHA BLS certification required (or Red Cross equivalent)
• NURSYS verification required
• 2 years overall experience in specialty required, or 18 months with 1 year of recent experience under the highest level of professional license
• No prior license violations or disciplinary actions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients while floating across assigned units and facilities as needed
• Dress code requires solid navy scrubs
• Parking available on-site
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rates with no mile radius restriction
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
