Description

American Traveler is hiring a pediatric MRI Technologist with 2+ years experience and required Siemens scanner experience for an evening shift assignment.

Details

• Pediatric acute care and outpatient MRI setting treating inpatient and outpatient patients from neonate to 26 years of age
• Procedures include Neuro, Body, MSK, Angio, Spect, sedated and non-sedated cases
• Equipment includes GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners, Bayer Injectors, Invivo Monitoring, and GE PACS
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 2:45 PM-11:15 PM
• Weekend coverage required approximately every other weekend, subject to change based on unit needs
• No on-call requirement
• Floating to other units required based on assignment needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• Recent pediatric MRI experience required, including work with multiple pediatric patients within the last six months
• Siemens scanner experience is a hard requirement
• ARRT(R) and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and MSK imaging
• Experience with special imaging procedures such as MRA, MRV, MRCP, CINE, diffusion imaging, and perfusion studies preferred
• Comfortable starting peripheral IVs on pediatric patients
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Two supervisory references required at time of consideration, at least one must be manager/supervisor titled (charge nurse references not accepted)

• Perform MRI scans across a wide range of pediatric diagnostic and interventional procedures
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates who worked in a permanent role at the facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
• 60-mile radius rule applies for local candidates
• Makeup shifts may be required within the same pay period for any call-outs or absences
