Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience in a pediatric hospital and an OH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a pediatric hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed
• Cares for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, post cardiac surgery, and post cardiac catheterization needs

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license required in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required in a pediatric hospital setting (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients required
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, and arterial line management required
• Two supervisory references required at time of consideration, at least one must be manager/supervisor titled
• ECMO, CRRT, and VAD (LVAD/RVAD) experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients including those with congenital heart disease and post-cardiac surgery needs
• Floating to other units is a strong expectation and point of emphasis for this facility
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role for this facility within the last 2 years
• No local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius
