Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and pediatric/neonate expertise.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy department at an acute care medical center
- Rotating schedule with days and nights, shifts from 5:30a-6p and 5:30p-6a
- No call required
- No floating required
- MedHost EMR used
Requirements
- Current RRT certification required
- ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required (must obtain NRP before or immediately after start if not already certified)
- New Mexico state license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Pediatric and neonate experience required
- No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Administers respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management
- Conducts patient assessments and monitors responses to respiratory treatments including pharmacological interventions
- Performs and documents arterial blood gas (ABG) punctures and reports results promptly
- Assists physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures including arterial line insertion, intubations, pulmonary function studies, and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests
- Manages ventilator settings and airway maintenance for optimal patient comfort and safety
- Scrubs of any color permitted
- Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
- RTO requests must be less than one week
- Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any facility within this health system in the past 2 years will not be considered
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
