Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit caring for adult patients, including a mix of acute care and socially complex patients awaiting placement
• Common diagnoses include general medical surgical cases and overflow oncology patients
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital settings required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, and complex trauma cases required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Required documents include resume, work history with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, certification cards, and Nursys license verification

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for a mix of acute and socially complex adult patients in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• No RTO permitted during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Badge-appropriate photo required as part of candidate profile
