Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring NM or compact RN license and floating to like units as needed.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit setting
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 or 48 hour scheduling options available
- Weekend shifts required
- Floating required to like units within scope as needed
- Epic charting system experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
- BLS certification required
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs
- Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and oxygen administration
- Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
- Cardiac monitoring skills including telemetry and rapid response team utilization
- Renal and orthopedic care experience including pre/post hemodialysis management and total joint replacement care
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to a Med/Surg population including cardiac, renal, respiratory, and orthopedic cases
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as locals are not accepted
