Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a critical access hospital, requiring an active MI RN license and at least 2 years of Med-Surg experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical Combination unit of an 18-bed critical access hospital
• Geriatric and pediatric patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:8 depending on acuity and care aide availability
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Telemetry (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required
• Rural community hospital experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to geriatric and pediatric Med-Surg patients in a Joint Commission accredited critical access hospital
• Reports to the Acute Care Unit Director
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable, but hoodies and sweatshirts are not permitted
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
