Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring an active MI RN license and at least 2 years of Med-Surg experience in a rural community hospital setting.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital setting on the Med-Surg/ACU floor
• 18-bed unit with a geriatric and pediatric patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:8 based on acuity and availability of a care aide
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Uses Meditech EHR

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and Telemetry
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required
• Rural community hospital experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active licensure verification via Nursys required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to geriatric and pediatric Med-Surg patients in a rural hospital environment
• Reports to the Acute Care Unit Director
• Scrubs of any color accepted; hoodies and sweatshirts are not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
