Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a multi-disciplinary medical center, treating orthopedic patients ranging from teens to older adults.

Details

Outpatient clinic setting within a multi-disciplinary medical center
5x8 day shifts with flexible start and end times, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Treats general outpatient orthopedic caseload including non-surgical and post-operative patients
Patient population spans teens to older adults

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience required; interview required if less than 1 year
BLS certification required
License required if applicable
Experience with charting systems required (any EMR)
Skills in orthopedic conditions including DDD, DJD, frozen shoulder, gait training, hip/knee injuries, low back pain, sciatica, and spinal conditions
Experience with post-op cervical, shoulder, and spinal surgery patients
Proficiency with assistive devices such as crutches, walkers, and slings
Experience with modalities including cryotherapy, e-stim, moist heat, and TENS
Strong documentation skills including evaluations, POC, goals, and reassessments

Additional Information

Facility offers physician support and scenic views of the Baltimore Inner Harbor
Interview required for candidates with no previous travel experience
Candidates within 60 miles of the facility preferred for local consideration
Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and home exercise program education
Focus on patient and family education regarding safety and injury prevention
