Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 1-2 years of experience and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Details
- Med/Surg unit with telemetry patients in a 46-bed unit (40 acute and 6 intermediate care beds)
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Patient ratios: 5-6 patients during days, 6-7 patients at night
- Float as needed to Surge Unit or Emergency Department to manage Med/Surg patients unable to reach the floor
- Weekend and holiday coverage based on unit needs, up to every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Admission/discharge nurse and patient ambulator support available
- Respiratory therapist and security on-site 24/7
- No IV team or RRT team available
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg telemetry patients
- Collaborate with on-site support staff including admission/discharge nurse and patient ambulator
