Description

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Operating Room (Surgery/OR 701) department
• Shift schedule of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Multi-specialty OR unit with 10 beds and a team of 54 staff members
• Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 7 RNs, 10 CSTs, 3-4 FAs, 4 PCTs, 2 anesthesia techs, 1 supervisor, and 1 director
• Night shift is on-call only
• 1:1 patient ratios
• EMR system is Meditech, currently converting to Expanse
• On-call required including weekly rotations and one weekend per month
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and gynecology procedures required
• ENT and vascular (non-cardiac) experience preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Experience with open, laparoscopic, and robotic general surgery cases (e.g., appendectomy, cholecystectomy, some bariatrics)
• Experience with robotic orthopedic procedures, total knee/hip replacements, and trauma orthopedics
• Experience with laparoscopic/robotic hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and emergent interventions
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
