Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with 1 year of OR experience and BLS/ACLS certification for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Surgery unit with 4 operating rooms
• Staffed with 5-6 RNs and 1 CNC per day shift; night shift is call coverage only
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Shifts are (5) 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday, with possible (4) 10-hour shifts if staffing allows
• Uses daVinci Xi, Hologic Trident, Stryker laparoscopic towers, Hana table, and Olympus Cystoscopy Tower
• Meditech EMR used
• No floating required
• Call coverage required with full-time staff rotation, approximately 5 shifts including 1 weekend and evening weekday coverage

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Prior HCA experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties for orthopedic, general, colorectal, urological, and gynecological surgeries including robotic, laparoscopic, and open procedures
• Responsibilities include pulling case carts, providing family updates by phone or Surgical Symphony text, lunch/break relief, and acting as second nurse/support for after-hours recovery nurse
• Facility-dispensed scrubs required
• Candidates must be positive, proactive, efficient, and work well within a team
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
