Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring recent acute care experience and telemetry proficiency.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
- Floating required as needed
- Utilizes Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years in med/surg specialty required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an 80% or higher passing score
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, wound care, and respiratory care
- Experience with GI, endocrine, orthopedic, and neuro/psych patient populations preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a med/surg telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Candidates with three or more years of med/surg experience may be considered without prior travel experience
- Free onsite parking available
- Located at a newly built, advanced hospital and wellness center
