Description

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active MA RN license in hand and at least 2 years of current ER experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a primary acute care hospital offering 24-hour emergency and hospitalist coverage
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required
• ED Triage/Cardiac Room experience preferred and given first consideration
• IV Certification preferred
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
• ENPC and CEN certifications preferred
• BSN preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department, current within 1 year, required
• One signed supervisory reference from within the past two years of employment required

Additional Information

• Function independently under general guidance of the Director, following unit-specific guidelines, protocols, and policies
• Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills in providing patient care
• Must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and maintain emotional stability in emergency settings
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• All schedule and RTO requests must be submitted and verified at time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and no changes will be approved after upload or during interview
• This assignment is not suitable for candidates seeking to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Facility is a Joint Commission accredited, federally designated Critical Access Hospital and Massachusetts DPH Primary Stroke Center
