Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring high risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility and compact or IA RN licensure.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a 45-bed facility with 2 operating rooms
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 for high risk OB, antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery patients
• Unit manages approximately 150-350 deliveries per month across campuses
• Administers drips including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float across multiple campuses to maternity units including postpartum, mother-baby, and L&D
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN certificate or Intermediate/Advanced EFM certification required
• Minimum of 1 year Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current or recent high risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility required
• Experience with antepartum care and both C-section and vaginal deliveries required
• Post Partum/mother-baby care experience preferred
• Current or recent high risk OB experience in a Level I trauma facility highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment within the last 12 months
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, or executive within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for high risk OB, antepartum, and delivery patients
• Holiday coverage required, working 1-2 of 3 designated holidays per season unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from travel assignments at other UPH market facilities within 12 months of separation
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
