Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring multiple surgical specialty experience and willingness to perform OR duties in Interventional Radiology.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a regional referral center
- Surgery department specializes in endocrine, breast, and oncologic surgical procedures, as well as gastrointestinal, colorectal, and hepatobiliary procedures (open and laparoscopic)
- Must be willing to perform OR RN duties within scope of practice in the Interventional Radiology unit
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts with occasional evening flexibility required
- No scheduling accommodations available for this position
- Weekend coverage required approximately once every 5-6 weeks, Friday 3:30pm through Monday 7am
- On-call required weekdays 3:30pm-7pm, typically 1-3 times per 5-6 days
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact license required in hand at time of profile upload
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- Multiple surgical specialty experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Scrub experience strongly preferred, with scrub techs and RNs given first consideration for offer
- Must have own vehicle for this assignment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to adapt quickly to stressful situations
Additional Information
- Perform surgical procedures across a broad spectrum of clinical conditions including endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, and colorectal cases
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position
- All RTO requests must be submitted and verified at time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
- RTO requests made after upload will not be approved
- Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
- Cannot take all holidays off during the assignment
