Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a compact or OK RN license and weekend/holiday availability.

Details

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit providing care to expectant mothers and newborns
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts as needed per department needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or OK) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and manage pain including epidurals
• Assist with vaginal or surgical deliveries and educate families on postpartum recovery
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while coordinating care across disciplines
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate per facility radius rule
